Libya: to King Sarkozy, the Spoils [by Pepe Ecosbar]

Move over, Lawrence of Arabia. The Great Gallic Liberator of Libya (and any other gullible Arab in sight), neo-Napoleonic French President Nicolas Sarkozy, along with his sidekick British Prime Minister David of Arabia Cameron, gallantly strode into a cordoned off military airport in Tripoli to sing La Vie en Rose by the Mediterranean, thus celebrating the success of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s long bombing of Libya into “democracy”.

Tagging along for the photo-op was insufferable self-promoter and self-described “new philosopher” Bernard-Henri Levy, he of the perennially revealing torso under a neatly pressed white shirt, and he of the notorious phone call from Benghazi who “sold” a war to the beleaguered Gallic Liberator (as if King Sarko would refuse any push to enlarge his grandeur).

No need to hold the Imperial Rome metaphors – from “victory lap” to “laurels” and the inevitable “to the victor the spoils” (of war), because that’s exactly what this was.

King Sarko and Little Dave may not look like the lovely lady from Angola who’s just been crowned Miss Universe – but they couldn’t be in fuller “feel free to bask in my glow” mode. A victory lap in the periphery of empire – even if you’re just a lowly proconsul – certainly beats being mercilessly crushed by Europe’s economic debacle.

To the sound of Apache helicopters patrolling the Mediterranean, and escorted by dozens of riot police, King Sarko felt the need to tell an unsuspecting world, “What we did was for humanitarian reasons. There was no hidden agenda.”

But just in case – and with Tripoli’s top two hotels swarming with multilingual contractors/vultures – the chairman of the dodgy Transitional National Council (TNC), Mustafa Abdul Jalil, had to spell out the agenda: “allies and friends” would “have priority within a framework of transparency” in sharing the loot. So many juicy oil and gas (and water and uranium and reconstruction) contracts to bag, so little time.

Echoing King Sarko, Little Dave bombastically proclaimed, “the Arab spring could become an Arab summer”. That’s code for NATO ready to bomb more dictators to oblivion – as long as there are any opportunist “rebels” willing to call the (European) cavalry by exhibiting “pro-democracy” credentials, fake or otherwise.

King Sarko even outlined the next chapter: the road to Damascus. Dear Bashar, time to start booking that one-way ticket.

The King Sarko/Little Dave lightning Tripoli tour was carefully timed to upstage the visit by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Yet as far as the soul of the Arab Spring – Egypt – is concerned, Recep is the man, not the Anglo-French NATO bombers.

And to think that just yesterday British and French intelligence were so happy in bed with Gaddafi’s security apparatus. Such a pity that Little Dave did not enjoy some quality time with Tripoli military commander Abdelhakim Belhaj – former emir of the Libya Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), former al-Qaeda asset, former CIA torturee but (good for him) eternal Gaddafi foe.

You betcha; the (tragic) fun and games are just beginning. Let's see how long will it take for King Sarko and Little Dave to reenact their victory lap - and in what kind of Tripoli will they land. Kabul, Baghdad or Mogadishu?

Gaddafi spokesman denounces Cameron and Sarkozy Libya visit

What comments do you have on the visit of Sarcozy, Cameron and Levy to Libya? _ 
This visit have many meanings. First of all, it was carried out under tight security situation in Tripoli because they came in military planes and were surrounded by huge military defence, and they moved from M’eteega Airport to the hotel where they made their conference using helicopters because they know perfectly that the Libyan fighters and moujahidin are found everywhere in the city. 

As we said earlier, they came to collect the fruits of their seeds. They are afraid of the race of USA and other NATO nations toward the Libyan cake as they see it, so they hurried to Tripoli to make their deals with the traitors, and to guarantee their grasp over the Libyan oil first, then the Libyan rebuilding, and there they are talking about rebuilding the country they destroyed, with the infrastructure, the schools, the hospitals, the houses, the factories with the Libyan money, so they are gaining when they are destroying, and they are gaining when they are rebuilding…and they are certainly not rebuilding the country. 

Also, every colonial country has its men and agents. The role of these countries is to enforce the position of their agents, and to present political figures which are considered to turn in their orbit. For these reasons, I assure you and all the free people in Libya and the world, the war is far from finished, and we are still able to resist and win. I know what I am talking about and I know why we will win. 
I am asking all the honourable people of Tripoli to make a civil disobedience and stop going to their works, in order to delay hugely this project whose goal is to remove the independence and identity of Libya for years. This negative resistance and civil disobedience will help our fighters composed of young volunteers and the Libyan army in Zawya, Zliten, Sorman, Sibrata, Jufra and Ghat, to continue in their fight and to rearrange themselves, in preparation for the march very soon. 
So, this visit made by Sarkozy and Cameron is an announcement for the start of this colonial project. For this reason, the country sovereignty and freedom is in danger, and every Libyan citizen has a sacred role and a compulsory duty of carrying on his own duty on his personal level by not complying with the colonialists and the traitors. 
I would like to reassure the Libyans that the armed gangs are now weak, divided, large groups of them have given up fighting, large groups have left Libya with many spoils, and other groups have stopped fighting because of too much blood shed. We have many thousands who are fighting for the country. We have the ammunition, we have the money, we have the heart of the people, we have the national legitimacy, religious legitimacy, the moral legitimacy, the cultural legitimacy, and we have no other road but the victory, with the will of Allah. 

But the people have to stand for the honor, the jihad, and the civil disobedience and negative resistance, so they can help us to go on forward and bury this colonial project against the Arabism and Islam in Tripoli, so we can protect Algeria from falling, because I assure you, after Libya, they will come to Algeria, Syria, and finally Saudi Arabia.
_ All those who are calling us wish you victory. Also, the Arabs from the other countries wonder how you are doing inside Libya and are wondering whether you need any help. Do you need any kind of humanitarian help from the Arab countries?

and killed entire family!

Martyred 6 of family of Abu Braeg from Al Furjan tribe in Sirte after their home, which located in the residential area , was targted by a rocket by NATO rebels who are shelling the City by randomly. This is their so called "revolution" .. Dyed with blood and , hatred, betrayal and serving of the foreigners and killing of the national and honorable people ... Over 2,000 killed in NATO airstrikes on Gaddafi’s hometown -

More than 2,000 people have been killed in 17 days in Libya’s Sirte, the hometown of the country’s fugitive leader, Reuters cites Muammar Gaddafi's spokesman as saying on Saturday. Meanwhile, NATO planes are continuing to attack Libyan military targets in one of the last strongholds of Gaddafi loyalists. The alliance conducted 121 flight missions over Libya on September 16, including 43 strike missions, most of them targeting Sirte.
