Mahmoud Jibril: Washington's Man in Tripoli

by Stephen Lendman  on War is A Crime

Mahmoud Jibril takes over as Libya's new leader. He heads its puppet government.
Sham elections installed him. The process was farcical. Illusion substituted for reality. Obama called his ascension "another milestone in the country's transition to democracy."

EU leaders hailed "Libya's first free elections." They called them the "dawn of a new era." Scoundrel media acclaimed the end of the Gaddafi nightmare.
A democratic facade masks New World Order neoliberal fundamentalism. Its holy trinity is eliminating public services, predatory capitalism writ large, and repression enforcing the message to non-believers.
Libya gives Washington another beachhead for greater African adventurism. Unspeakable crimes of war and against humanity were committed establishing it.

Jibril's now its main man. He got his marching orders. He's expected to deliver. Otherwise another pro-Western hack will replace him.

Freedom is nowhere in sight. It's true everywhere Washington runs things. Inside the bubble, it's paradise. Outside it's dystopian hell. It features exploitation and denial of fundamental rights.

SORMAN MASACRE by OTAN - heart is broken

[original text: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article28474.htm ]

For once, Thierry Meyssan is not offering us a clinical analysis of geo-political developments. He is reporting on facts that he witnessed firsthand: the story of his friend, Engineer Khaled K. Al-Hamedi. A story of horror and blood where NATO embodies the comeback of barbarism.
By Thierry Meyssan

July 03, 2011 "Voltairenet" --- It was a family celebration, the Libyan way. Everyone had gathered to celebrate the third birthday of little Al-Khweldy. The grand-parents, the brothers and sisters and cousins were crowding inside the family house located in Sorman, 70 Kms West of the capital: a big garden where small houses had been built for the various members of the family, plain, one-floor houses.
The International Organization for Peace, Care and Relief (IOPCR) is a very active in countries such as Algeria, Iran, Sudan and Palestine. His job is to assist victims of disasters and armed conflicts. Has earned many awards its exemplary action in Gaza and West Bank. In this image, Khaled el-Hamedi receives medal of valor from the hands of Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh. He was also honored by Mahmoud Abbas.
----------
No big luxury, just the simplicity of desert people. A quiet and harmonious atmosphere. The grand-father, Marshall Al-Khweldy Al-Hamedi, used to raise birds here. - He is a hero of the Revolution who took part in the overthrow of the monarchy and in his country’s liberation from colonial exploitation. All are very proud of him. - The son, Khaled Al-Hamedi, President of IOPCR, one of the most important Arab humaitarian associations, used to raise does. About thirty children were running around among the animals.
They were also preparing the wedding of his brother Mohammed, gone to the front lines to fight against NATO-trained foreign mercenaries. The ceremony was to take place here in a few days’ time. His fiancee was already beaming.
Nobody noticed that, among the guests, a spy had sneaked in. He was pretending to twitter his friends. In reality, he had just marked the targets and was relaying them through the social network at NATO Headquarters.

The next day, during the night of 19 to 20 June 2011, at around 2.30 am, Khaled went back home after having visited and assisted compatriots who had fled the Alliance’s bombings. He was close enough to his house to hear the hissing of missiles and their explosions.

----------
NATO fired eight of them, of 900 kilos each. The spy had placed markers in each house, including the children’s bedrooms. The missiles were dropped a few seconds apart. The grand-parents had time to get out of their house before it was destroyed. It was already too late to rescue the children and grand-children. When the last missile hit their house, the Marshall had the instinctive reaction to shield his wife with his body. They had just stepped out of the door when they were flung fifteen meters away by an explosion. But they survived.
When Khaled arrived, there was only devastation. His wife, whom he loved so much, and the child she was bearing were gone. His children, for whom he would have given anything, were crushed by the explosions and collapsing ceilings.
The houses were left in ruins. Twelve mutilated bodies were lying under the rubble. The does, hit by fragments, were agonising in their pen.

The neighbours who rushed to their rescue silently searched through the debris for any sign of life. Unfortunately, there was no hope. The children didn’t stand a chance of escaping the missiles. The corpse of a beheaded child is extracted. The grand-father is reciting verses of the Coran. His voice is firm, he does not cry. His pain is too strong.

Meanwhile, in Brussels, NATO spokespersons declared to have bombed the headquarters of pro-Ghaddafi militia in order to protect the civilian population from the tyrant who is repressing it.
It is not known how the whole thing was planned by the targets committee, nor how the chiefs of NATO’s general staff followed the unfolding of the operation. What is clear is that the Atlantic Alliance, with its spruced-up generals and right-thinking diplomats, has decided to murder the chidren of Libyan leaders to break their psychological resistance.

Since the XIIIth century, European theologists and jurists have prohibited the assassination of families. Only the mafia has broken this absolute taboo. The mafia and now NATO.

On 1st July, when 1.7 million people were demonstrating in Tripoli to defend their country against foreign aggression, Khaled went to the front to bring relief to refugees and the injured. Snipers were waiting for him. They tried to kill him. He was seriously injured; however, according to the doctors, his life is no longer in danger.
NATO’s dirty work is not yet finished.

Rebels are killers It is so simply

We hear already about "rebel soldiers" and see images of men shaking their  powerful guns, waving flags from the pre-Gaddafi period, which appear out of nowhere, en masse.  The question is who is behind this force and what is its aim? This question is not being addressed in any way in our media and by our political representatives, and any real information and analysis has been replaced by sentimentalizing about "people power."*

Rebels are killers it is so simply

Soldiers of the Sovereign State Libya and Libyan people are tortured by rebels, fighters slaves to the West, or rogue... but you can not see truth on private media station ... they makeing movies in Hollywood and Disneyland style
Breakinng news: violence by rebels

Al Jazeera ????
One of "the most professional" news networks in the world, it has to be cautioned that Al Jazeera is not a neutral actor. It is subordinate to the Emir of Qatar and the Qatari government, which is also an autocracy. By picking and choosing what to report, Al Jazeera’s coverage of Libya is biased.
This is evident when one studies Al Jazeera’s coverage of Bahrain, which has been restrained due to political ties between the leaders of Bahrain and Qatar.
Reports by Al Jazeera about Libyan jets firing on protesters in Tripoli and the major cities are unverified and questionable. Hereto, the reports that Libyan jets have been attacking people in the streets have not been verified. No visual evidence of the jet attacks has been shown, while visual confirmation about other events have been coming out of Libya.
Al Jazeera is not alone in its biased reporting from Libya. The Saudi media is also relishing the events in Libya. Asharq Al-Awsat is a Saudi-owned paper that is strictly aligned to U.S. interests in the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) region. Its editor-in-chief is now running editorials glorifying the Arab League for their decision to suspend Libya, because of the use of force by Tripoli against Libyans protesters –why were such steps not taken for Bahrain, or Yemen?**
Rebels killing civilians

It is shocking that in Libya NATO is actively cooperating with those very international terrorists that it claims it is fighting all over the world. So-called rebels are in reality NATO’s support units, a sort of a private army of the West

(V) Massacre ni Benghazi (+18)

Were these a peaceful demonstrations in Benghazi?? Do these people look like democracy seekers?? Does this look like fighting for freedom, against the opression?? Ofcourse not! How would you feel if somebody let out 1.000 prisoners from the prison at the outskirts of your country, and they side with Al Qaeda and western secret agents in order to take over the town with loothing, massacres and fear? in order to serve their western masters, in order to get the approval for the bombing and destruction of your own land?? How would you feel?

Beheading by the Al Qaeda rebels in a mosque

These Al Qaeda rebels are supported by the US, UK, France and NATO in their 'humble' quest for 'democracy' ... As you can see they are beheading a Libyan man in a mosque with traditional Al Qaeda swords, while cheering .. This happened before Gaddafi even started fighting with them...

Rebels are butchering Libyan and carrying body parts as trophies

Western-backed Al Qaeda rebels are butchering people and have a custom of carrying body parts as trophies, in order to scare Libyan people, because a majority of Libyans are against this so called revolution..

Lynching in Benghazi

Al Qaeda lynching mobs from Benghazi - hanged a black Libyan publicly on a square. They were celebrating his death by shooting and mutilating his dead body with Al Qaeda's swords. We are  sure if people were not so blinded with the fabricated lies of CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera, if they knew the truth, they would condemn their respective governments for supporting these "revolutionary"  lynching mobs in Libya.

Libyan rebels accused of arbitrary arrests, torture

(CNN) -- Libyan rebels accused of arbitrary arrests, torture
Libyan rebels are arbitrarily detaining dozens of civilians suspected of being loyal to ruler Moammar Gadhafi and are holding them without trial or due process, Human Rights Watch charged Sunday.
It is difficult to tell exactly how many civilians are being held without charge because some are held by militias and because the rebels do not clearly distinguish between civilian detainees and legaly army of Libya , Human Rights Watch said.

BREAKING NEWS: Western Libya Portrait is not What is being Painted by Mainstream Media

Visit www.waynemadsenreport.com for more information from Wayne Madsen on Libya and other important issues
Western media reports continue to indicate that Libyan rebels trying to oust Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi from power, backed by daily NATO air strikes, are gaining ground in western Libya.

During a six-hour drive from the Tunisian border to Tripoli, the Libyan capital, this reporter saw no signs of Libyan rebel successes in western Libya. In fact, I witnessed a spontaneous pro-Qaddafi demonstration on the main Tunisia-Tripoli highway in a town about one and a half hours west of Tripoli.

The green flag of the Libyan Arab Jamahiryah not only adorn flag poles in towns from Tripoli to the Tunisian border, but a number of private residences are flying the green flag from their rooftops, on flag poles, and even from outside of top floor windows in medium size and small towns alike along the main highway.

There are some telltale signs of previous fighting in the western part of the country -- bullet holes in the walls of some buildings and even some more extensive structural damage -- but there are no signs that the rebels, backed by the United States, NATO, and the European Union, have any substantial support in western Libya.

The one major sign of the Libyan civil war lies not in western Libya but across the Tunisian border where several refugee tent cities have been set up to accommodate thousands of refugees, most of them black African guest workers from sub-Sahara and Sahel nations who were set upon by rebels who said the workers were "mercenaries"brought to Libya by Qaddafi to fight on his behalf. In fact, there is a strong anti-black racialist element within the Libyan rebel movement that used the mercenary meme to justify heinous war crimes by rebel units against blacks from other African nations, as well as native Libyan blacks.

While many of the refugee camps on the Tunisian side of the Libyan frontier are sponsored by the International Committee of the Red Cross, one is funded by the United Arab Emirates, one of the nations participating in President Obama's "coalition of the willing" that is waging a war on behalf of the Libyan rebels. From our hotel on the Mediterranean coast, we expect to see and hear the attacks conducted against military and some civilian targets a further few miles inland in downtown Tripoli.

The EU and NATO sanctions on Libya are being severely felt by Libya's civilians. Petrol stations are rationing gasoline and long lines of cars sit waiting for gasoline to be delivered to the pumps. The NATO, EU, and U.S. policy of "collective punishment" of western Libya's civilian population is being compares to Israel's collective punishment of the Palestinians of Gaza and the West Bank. In fact, many Libyans believe that Obama's crippling sanctions on western Libya were crafted by Israel's lobby in Washington, which pressured the Obama administration into adopting them.

NATO has conducted nightly air strikes against western Libya, including downtown Tripoli, since March 19. The attacks begin around 12 midnight local time and at the time of this report we are expecting another NATO bombing of Tripoli in a little less than an hour.

Above: Mostly black African refugees, who fled Libya after U.S.- and NATO-supported rebels committed war crimes against them merely because of  the color of their skin, live a sprawling refugee camps on the Tunisian side of the Libyan border. America's first African-American president supports a rebel movement that practices genocide against black Africans, mostly guest workers who received salaries in Libya they could never earn in their native countries in sub-Sahara and Sahel Africa.

Qaddafi's portrait still ubiquitous in western Libya. Top is at a border crossing office. Bottom is at the border frontier.

The motorcade of the U.S. peace delegation speeds towards Tripoli. The official Libyan diplomatic protocol cars were able to breeze by dozens of Libyan military roadblocks set up between the Tunisian border and Tripoli. The delegation is headed by former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and will be joined by former Senator Mike Gravel and former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark.

Spontaneous pro-Qaddafi demonstration on the main highway from Tunisia to Tripoli.

Crippling sanctions on western Libya are resulting in long gas lines and civilian hardships. The Obama administration stands accused of waging Israeli-like "collective punishment" against the people of western Libya, where Qaddafi continues to command widespread popular support.

(V) RIP HEART and play with it

Rebels aka 'PEACEFUL PROTESTERS' from Benghazi burnt a man,cut off his head, arms and legs,t, and rip off his heart, bite it played with it, while cheering, in the middle of the day on a square in Benghazi ... this was before Gadaffi even started fighting with them... What would your president do if Al Qaeda terrorists did this on a public square in your town? He would call them 'democracy seekers' and give them a seat in the Parlament?

(V) Martyr blood of Varffala in Libya (+18)

"In the video, a man lost his life at the hands of "peaceful rebels".( March 20.2011.)

Western-backed Al Qaeda rebels aka 'democracy seekers' beheaded Mr. Hamza al-Gheit Fughi , a truck driver from the Varfalla tribe. They beheaded him because he was pro-Gadaffi.
It's interesting to see the ones which are crying for Nato bombs- in their democratic revolutionarist mood. They must have learned the rules of democracy in the American movies. Democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner, or not?

According to the Pentagon ...

R2P: "No Confirmation Whatsoever" according to the Pentagon that Gadhaffi "Fired on his Own People"
Read the Pentagon transcript / by Global Research
Responsibility to Protect: The War on Libya was launched but there was "No Confirmation Whatsoever" according the Pentagon that Gadhaffi  "fired on his own people from the air"
The war on Libya was launched on the pretext and justification that Gadaffi was killing civilians and that the US and NATO had a responsibility to come to the rescue of innocent civilians.
Below is the transcript of a March 1st Press briefing at the Pentagon.
On the very same day a UN no-fly-zone resolution was being discussed, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Admiral Michael Mullen, "admitted their utter ignorance as to what's happening on the ground in Libya"

(for further details see
Eric Pottenger and Jeff FriesenVictors' Justice and the "Responsibility to Protect": Who are the Real War Criminals? Global Research, June 3, 2011)
Sec Gates and Adm. Mullen plead ignorance.
Q. Do you see any evidence that [Gaddafi] actually has fired on his own people from the air?

SEC. GATES: We’ve seen the press reports, but we have no confirmation of that.
ADM. MULLEN: That’s correct. We’ve seen no confirmation whatsoever.
PENTAGON BRIEFING WITH SECRETARY OF DEFENSE ROBERT GATES AND ADMIRAL MIKE MULLEN, CHAIRMAN, JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF MODERATOR: COLONEL DAVID LAPAN, DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF DEFENSE FOR MEDIA OPERATIONS LOCATION: PENTAGON, ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA TIME: 2:44 P.M. EST DATE: TUESDAY, MARCH 1, 2011
Federal News Service
March 1, 2011 Tuesday
Q: Mr. Secretary, Admiral Mullen just mentioned that in Libya Moammar Gadhafi is waging war on his own people, as you put it. What -- is U.S. military intervention realistic? And what specific kinds of options are you considering? Could you describe, for example, the possibility of a no-fly zone or arming rebel forces?
SEC. GATES:
... I would -- I would note that the U.N. Security Council resolution provides no authorization for the use of armed force. There is no unanimity within NATO for the use of armed force. And the kinds of options that have been talked about in the press and elsewhere also have their own consequences and second- and third-order effects. So they need to be considered very carefully.
Our job is to give the president the broadest possible decision space and options, and to go into the things that we're thinking about, the options that we're providing, I think, have the potential to narrow his decision space. And I have no intention of doing that.
Q: Do you see any evidence that [Gaddafi] actually has fired on his own people from the air? There were reports of it, but do you have independent confirmation? If so, to what extent?
SEC. GATES: We’ve seen the press reports, but we have no confirmation of that.
ADM. MULLEN: That’s correct. We’ve seen no confirmation whatsoever.
Q: Mr. Secretary, could you give us your assessment of the situation on the ground? How bad is it? Can the rebels take Tripoli? Are thousands dying?
SEC. GATES: Well, the -- I think the honest answer, David, is that we don’t know in that respect, in terms of the number of casualties. In terms of the potential capabilities of the opposition, we’re in the same realm of speculation, pretty much, as everybody elseI haven’t seen anything that would give us a better read on the number of rebels that have been killed than you have. And I think it remains to be seen how effectively military leaders who have defected from Gaddhafi’s forces can organize the opposition in the country. And we are watching that unfold, as you are.
Q: Do you have any requests from rebel leaders for air strikes -- (inaudible) -- have you heard of any of that?
SEC. GATES: No.
....
Q: Mr. Secretary and Admiral Mullen, based on what you've seen to date, do you have any reason to think that Gadhafi would be prepared to leave voluntarily, or do you think that some form of force, whether it is rebels, whether ultimately it's U.N. sanctions, Western intervention, whether some form of force would be needed to push him out of power?
SEC. GATES: Well, all I can say is that sometimes you actually have to listen to what people say. And he's saying he's not leaving. (Scattered laughter.)

Qaddafi's Libya is not Obama's Libya

By Jose Gil

"Below the parliamentary assemblies, the Age of the Masses live, direct democracy, the Third Theory"
Qaddafi's Libya is building a sovereign, free and independent country. It is the Bedouin who after winning the challenges and hardships of deserts, invades the cities with his ideas of freedom, his tent challenges the most powerful weapons in the world, to say loudly and in a clear voice: "Parliamentary democracy is the falsification of true democracy, below the parliamentary assemblies, the Age of the Masses lives, straight direct democracy, the Third Theory."Obama dramatically fails AP fact check

Qaddafi's Libya is not Obama's Libya. 44397.jpegThe greatest deceiver of mankind, a major liar, who fooled the American people to elect him U.S. president, who was so stupidly and recklessly awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize, Barack Obama, was the first black president to order the bombing of Africa.

In speeches at the White House to tame and corrupt Western media, Obama speaks of a Libyan who he says he knows, because he only has information falsified by Zionists who dominate and control the media and the U.S. banks.

Praying in the book of criminal leeches and the international financial system, Obama is just a stupid puppet, controlled by unknown forces, ordering  criminal actions that will ultimately put the planet in critical condition.

The first time I traveled to Libya was in the distant year of 1985. At the time, I was a student activist and idealistic. I saw a country proud of its freedom. I remember watching the inauguration of housing developments planned by the leader Moammar Gadhafi for poor people who roamed the deserts of Libya, who lived in tents or tarpaulins on the outskirts of Tripoli.

In the years that followed, I returned to Libya several times and saw a country thriving, growing and progressing each year, despite the boycott, the international campaigns against the country orchestrated by U.S. imperialism and by Israeli Zionism.

After all this time, decades and decades of resistance, the Libyan people had built a strong and sovereign nation, internationally respected, in solidarity with peoples fighting for liberation. This is the Libya of the Gadhafi whom I have met. I walked the streets of Tripoli, Benghazi and Sirte, and I talked to people, I drank the true facts at the source, not the daily lies of western media.

I saw an opportunity in this booming country, constructing modern beautiful buildings, able to rival the most modern buildings of the UAE.

A sovereign, socialist, progressive and rich nation, led by a man who never surrendered to imperialism or Zionism, but rather always fought, was unacceptable for governments who align themselves with imperialism, Zionism and criminals to steal and expropriate the wealth of nations: France and England.

Obama's Libya is the illusion and the lies of a ruler who does not see an inch ahead. Barack Obama is not a Malcolm X or a Martin Luther King. He never had any deep knowledge of the reality of the people. He has always been a puppet of American political parties, funded by the oil and war industries - the biggest ones interested in promoting world wars.
Qaddafi's Libya is the people happy, the owners of their freedom, owners of their own home, their land, a partner in the company where they work. It is something that is beyond the comprehension of Obama, who has no culture, intelligence or ability to understand the philosophical advances practiced and taught by Gaddafi. But Obama is president of the most powerful country in the world, despite his political ignorance.
The difference between Obama and Gaddafi is that Gaddafi's ideas never die: they simmer around the world in most of the countries and they will build the histories of people who advance in their struggles for liberation. Obama will be a forgotten name in the dustbin of history because he was put at the service of selfishness, of capitalism, to murder defenseless civilians in various countries, where criminal industries steal oil and he lives in order to encourage and favor capitalists and Zionists.
