- The body of Libya's former Oil Minister Shukri Ghanem has been found in the Danube River, Austrian police say.

Police spokesman Roman Hahslinger said the 69-year-old's corpse was found floating in the river early in the morning. The body showed no external signs of violence, but the cause of death was not immediately clear and an autopsy will be carried out, Hahslinger said.

Ever since NATO invaded Tripoli and placed it's rebel puppets to take as many photographs on the streets as they can, kill as many Jamahiriya and Gaddafi supporters as they could manage, loot their homes and threaten their families, we are witnessing anxious vultures from Britain, Italy and France striving to "tie the knot" with whatever fraction of NTC they were courting these nine months or more.
So...this week, upon receiving news about Heritage Oil PLC claiming it has struck a deal with Sahara Oil Services Holding Ltd. and now owns a controlling stake of 51% in it, we thought to research it a bit more. First page of Google Search is full of articles regarding the takeover, one very much like the other, but it didn't take much digging to find something interesting about the particular vulture. First we will introduce You to one of the usual articles reporting about the takeover, and then, one by one, we will introduce you to the key players of this play.
"LONDON—U.K. independent oil and gas explorer Heritage Oil PLC Tuesday became the first new foreign firm to strike a deal to enter the Libyan oil sector following the war through its acquisition of a Benghazi-based oil services company.
Although incumbent majors like Total SA and ENI SpA have resumed some production in Libya, new oil companies are salivating at the prospect of joining them in exploring the country with the largest oil reserves in Africa following the fall of Col. Moammar Gadhafi in August.
Heritage said its 51% controlling stake in Sahara Oil Services Holdings Ltd., which it is buying for $19.5 million in cash, means the firm will be "well placed to play a significant role in the future oil and gas industry in Libya." Sahara has permits and licenses to provide onshore and offshore oil field services in Libya, as well as the right to bid for and operate oil and gas licenses in the country.
However, two senior members of the state's oil sector cautioned that it was premature to talk of fresh production licensing rounds.
The deal comes after Heritage said it has spent the past five months in Benghazi, former capital and stronghold of the National Transitional Council that overthrew Gadhafi's regime in August.
The company has a track record of going into volatile environments with a view to gaining an early advantage over larger competitors. Chief Executive Anthony Buckingham , a former North Sea diver, founded Heritage in 1993 to explore offshore oil and gas interests in Angola. Controversially, it engaged private military contractors to defeat Unita rebels who had overrun its installations there.
Heritage said it had established a dialogue with senior NTC members during this time, discussions which it said are continuing through Sahara, "with Heritage exploring ways to assist the NTC and the state oil companies rehabilitate certain of their existing fields and recommence production."
But it remains unclear how welcome Heritage will be in Libya. Two of the country's most senior oil officials—Nuri Berruien, the head of Libya's National Oil Co. and Omar Shakmak, the deputy oil minister—said that they hadn't been informed by Heritage of its plans to take over Sahara.
A Heritage spokesman stressed that the deal with Sahara came with oil field services licenses, not exploration and production permits, for which he said Heritage would still have to bid. He said Heritage had received legal advice on the matter and that there were no regulatory approvals still pending on the deal.
But Shokri Ghanem, who was Libya's oil head until he defected from the former regime in May, said the transfer of oil-services licenses to a new foreign player in Libya's oil services sector would require approval from the ministry of economy under the country's laws.
"If Heritage has no branch in Libya, it needs to apply to the ministry of economy" to clear its right to operate in the country through the acquisition of Sahara Oil Services, he said.
Both Mr. Berruien and Mr. Shakmak said no new oil and gas exploration and production licenses would be granted until a final government is appointed. Although the NTC made new appointments Monday it has insisted it is only a caretaker government until the whole country is liberated.
Royal Bank of Scotland analyst Phil Corbett said that while he was inclined to see the move positively, the country remains in a state of flux and that significant changes to the sector in terms of contracts and regulations was still a possibility."
"Anthony Leslie Rowland "Tony" Buckingham is an oil industry executive with a significant share holding in Heritage Oil Corporation. Heritage is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange since 1999. Recently,[when?] Heritage listed on the London Stock Exchange. Buckingham's direct and indirect share holding is estimated to represent 33% of Heritage. This share was reduced in November 2007 via a share placement made through JP Morgan and Canaccord.
Buckingham is a former partner of the mercenary provider or private military company Executive Outcomes.[1] He has had no involvement with such organizations since 1999 and has focused his time on running Heritage."
"In the 1990s he ( Anthony Buckingham) was a “security consultant” and partner of private military provider Executive Outcomes."
"Mr Buckingham is also a former associate of Simon Mann – the mercenary and heir to the Watney Mann brewing fortune who was jailed for more than 34 years for leading an attempt to oust Teodoro Obiang Nguema, the president of oil-rich Equatorial Guinea."
Although his company PR seems to be keen to leave that particular link behind him, saying:
"Mr Buckingham has had no substantive business contact with Simon Mann since 1998 and no contact of any nature with him since 2000"
In the conclusion of Telegraph's article there is a spooky remark about this mercenary-turned oil baron, describing his remarkable way of "fighting his way out of difficult situations"that doesn't rub well on those of us who had suspicions about the involvement of foreign mercenaries in triggering of he bloodshed in Libya by firing on the people and causing the panic and the exchange of accusations as to who started the shooting. For example, the videos from the mentioned protests proved that targets were Gaddafi's supporters waving green flags. Official statements from the police and the military of Libya insisted that they were forbidden to fire at people. We see, or hear shooting on those videos, and nobody is able to determine from where. Western media and Al Jazeera presented it as though Gaddafi's forces shot at the rebels (which was a big false flag lie, used to start a NATO intervention). In fact, from what we hear, the ones shooting at the pro-Gaddafi rally were some foreign mercenaries. There are so many unresolved crimes in Libya in which foreign mercenaries were involved, that it is difficult not to get suspicious about each and every individual who has that kind of history to his name, and is also involved in Libyan oil deals. But lets not go too far with our assumptions."
In this article from "The center for public integrity" By Duncan Campbell , titled
"Marketing the New 'Dogs of War" that originally investigates "Tim Spicer- a man simultaneously at the center of a number of scandals provoked by his global mercenary activities and of an effort to legitimize the status and sanitize the image of the country's "dogs of war" – soldiers of fortune who have mounted coups, guarded British, U.S. and Arabian dignitaries and ambassadors, engaged in civil wars, and run sabotage and terror activities from behind hostile lines. From the Contra campaign in Nicaragua to organizing and training Afghan or Kosovar insurgents, British mercenary operators have been employed by the CIA, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the U.S. State Department, as well as by Britain's own Secret Intelligence Service (SIS)." we find something about both Anthony Buckingham and his former buddy Simon Mann:
"Mann was the scion of a wealthy brewing family, and the fifth generation in his family to attend Britain's top private school, Eton College. His upbringing put him at the center of the British establishment. He could not have been better endowed with connections in the military, diplomatic, intelligence and financial world.
After leaving the SAS in 1985, Mann's first commercial venture was not as a mercenary, but in the new field of computer security. Mann joined forces with a former insurance broker who had pioneered computer insurance and had been a manager for Control Risks, a large and reputable risk assessment consultancy that was founded by ex-SAS officers. They raised finance and founded a company called Data Integrity. Mann's role was to sell new lines of computer insurance policies against accidents and hackers. The company did well, but not well enough for the venture capitalists who had funded it. It began to drift, and Mann began to lose interest.
As the company wound down during 1990, Mann's old-boy network had put him in touch with oil entrepreneur Anthony Buckingham. Buckingham, also ex-military, has been described in some press accounts as a former member of Britain's naval special forces, the Special Boat Service, although the description has never been confirmed. After working in the North Sea oil industry as a diver, Buckingham moved into the oil industry, working initially with Ranger Oil of Canada.
Buckingham later founded his own company, Heritage Oil, which he ran from the modern, glass-fronted "Plaza" building at 535 King's Road, Chelsea. A first floor suite in the building provided offices for Buckingham's management company, "Plaza 107" – named for the number of his rented suite, 1.07. Inside, a single receptionist handled incoming calls to more than 18 different companies. From the Plaza suite, Buckingham, Mann and others ran businesses that included oil, gold and diamond mining, a chartered accountancy practice, and offshore financial management services"
Now we come to some interesting details, have patience and read it all, although it is a rather long excerpt.
"In May 1993, UNITA rebels opposing the Angolan government of President Jose Eduardo dos Santos had seized Heritage's oil installations in Soyo and shut down the oilfield. After losing control of Soyo, the Angolan government asked for more mercenary help. Their request was directed to Ranger Oil, which ran Angola's offshore oilfields. The approach led Buckingham to hire what had been up to that time an exclusively South African mercenary group, Executive Outcomes.
According to a classified 1995 British Defense Intelligence Staff (DIS) report, Ranger then gave Buckingham and Mann a $30 million contract to set up a defense force. On Sept. 7, 1993, according to the intelligence report, Mann and Buckingham registered Executive Outcomes as a U.K. company to run the joint venture with the South African EO. The British intelligence report on Executive Outcomes is classified "Secret U.K. Eyes Alpha," a special security designation indicating that it should not be given to or seen by U.S. or any other friendly intelligence agencies. Sections of the report are based on South African intelligence service reports of the same era, which could have been obtained through bilateral exchange or through secret operations.
The report stated that South African intelligence suggested "so successful has EO [Executive Outcomes] proved itself to be, the OAU [Organization of African Unity] may be forced to … perhaps offer EO a contract for the management of peace-keeping continent-wide." British intelligence's assessment of the situation also described the rise of Executive Outcome's "widespread activities" as a "cause for concern."
Information about the real owners of Executive Outcomes (U.K.) does not appear on British company records. According to these public records, the owners and directors of EO were Eeben Barlow and his wife Sue. The names of Buckingham and Mann are not listed. Barlow was a former officer of the South African Defense Forces (SADF), who helped found the original South African Executive Outcomes in 1989. Barlow and his wife gave an address in Alton, Hampshire, England. But Barlow's real location was Pretoria from where, together with fellow ex-SADF officer Lafras Luitingh, he directed his company's forces in their battle against UNITA. He recruited 500 men, "mostly ex-members of the SADF special forces," according to the intelligence report. At least 24 SADF officers were also persuaded to resign and join Executive Outcomes. Troops were ferried to Angola from a small airport near Johannesburg.
Buckingham also recruited a former British secret service "friend" – that is, a former SIS intelligence officer – to support his activities that could embarrass those establishment connections. Rupert Bowen, whose overt career as a British diplomat in Europe and Namibia was later identified as cover for Secret Intelligence Service work, left his post in Namibia and joined Buckingham's growing oil and military empire at the start of 1994."
"By 1995, the presence of the South African mercenaries in Angola had made a significant impact on the war between government and UNITA forces. Soyo and its oil installations were recovered, and a peace protocol negotiated. Meanwhile, Buckingham and Executive Outcomes were moving in on Sierra Leone. In May 1995, the Freetown government confidentially advised the British and American ambassadors that the country had contracted for South African military assistance. Subsequently, Bowen disclosed that the government was hiring Executive Outcomes. Thus began a two-year Executive Outcomes operation to "pacify" Sierra Leone, which ended in February 1997."
"As its activities became increasingly controversial in the mid 1990s, EO blended into Sandline International.The companies operated from the same glitzy, glass-fronted offices Buckingham maintained in King's Road, Chelsea. The military companies operated interchangeably, within the premises operated by Heritage Oil and Gas, and Branch Energy, the oil and mineral companies run by Buckingham."

Now that we have learned some more about Buckingham's connection to Executive Outcomes and Sandline International, I feel compelled to dig some more...
"Executive Outcomes' famous contracts in Angola and Sierre Leone were coordinated by SAS veteran Tony Buckingham with EO's Eeben Barlow. Buckingham had been set up with a pocket oil company, Heritage Oil and Gas in Oman, a traditional British Intelligence/SAS staging point. George Bush's intelligence shadow, Theodore Shackley, worked closely with the British and the Lord Cayzer freight/shipping empire apparatus out of Oman. Shackley supervised Dutchman John Deuss's oil smuggling to South Africa, which was supplied in large part from Oman. Sitting on the board of Heritage was Privy Council member David Steel. Steel spent his teenage years at the Prince of Wales school in colonial Nairobi, Kenya--in the middle of the so-called Mau Mau rebellion--where his father was head of the Church of Scotland."
"It is most likely that EO, basically a several man office with a computer data base, will operate in the shadow of such London SAS firms like Defence Systems Limited (DSL), which has been insidiously digging itself into every disintegrating region and nation of the world--like a maggots into rotting flesh. The more serious question than EO per se, is just how much of the Afrikaner establishment has signed on board to the British game of decimating Africa, it's nations and population, and recolonising with WWF style game preserves and mining domains, heavily protected by private security, as zones of stability in the midst of Terra Incognita of death and conflict. This question goes equally for the ANC and Nelson Mandela. Numerous reports point to the South African government tolerating opportunistically the foreign combat deployments of Executive Outcomes. Although the government is currently drafting legislation against mercenary deployments by South Africans, it will probably only mean that the cartels must train "natives" to do the dirty work." Note: Anti-mercenary laws were passed in South Africa in 1998, one year after this article has been published.
OK, so now we have come to know some facts about the man behind the Heritage Oil PLC and I can not help but wonder - With so many skeletons in their closet, why did the company rush to make an announcement of the takeover, when the regime change in Libya is clearly not over and Libya is in the middle of a civil war, with TNC members fighting among themselves? Maybe the internal conflict among the TNC members is the reason, so every vulture is hurrying to secure his promised spoils of war, in fear that tomorrow the scenery within TNC and Libya itself might change and they would be left out of the deal? They are aware that the situation on the ground has nothing to do with the way it is portrayed in the western media. As our sources say The Green army is advancing well and all over Libya. Three more eastern tribes have turned against the rebels and are now supporting Gaddafi.
The night before last, there was a scheduled meeting of ENI (oil company) representatives with the TNC people in the Rixos Hotel, that is they were supposed to come to a meeting with the NTC to be storm their discontent for the TNC failure to defend ENI's oil fields, which were destroyed by Gaddafi loyalists in recent actions. ENI people did not appear at the meeting, and the NTC-people began to dispute among themselves and there was even some shooting at Rixos Hotel.
As Mutassim Billah al Gaddafi said in his speech yesterday:
"The next phase is striking of foreign oil interests in the whole of Libya. Who can protect the pipe network and oil installations which are extended or located in the desert, no one can claim that they could be protected! Command has issued orders to target all oil installations or tankers both on land or at sea!"
The ground is shaking under the TNC feet and they know it. TNC have to announce- soon, that they have "captured Sirte", because the western media has made the public believe that Sirte is the only place held by Gaddafi loyalists, which is very deceitful. If -in media- Sirte falls, it will appear as if the whole Libya fell, and then they can lie and deceive investors, big oil companies which invested a great load of money in the overthrowing of Gaddafi and are impatient to see results, like so many other disgruntled investors and participants of this war. They have to lie.

As you read this article I am sure you will find there are a number of things that will surprise you. After researching the situation for months I assure you I have investigated as many sides of the story as possible. But I did reach a clear conclusion and I will not shy away from openly expressing the views that I have formed during this process.
What we have been seeing recently in the media, this time with a special emphasis on the online community, is the most sophisticated propaganda firework display we have ever witnessed. It’s no surprise so many people have been duped.
But a lie can travel the world before the truth has tied it’s shoe laces. But I believe that once the laces have been tied and the truth starts walking, eventually it’s gonna get to people.There are at least two sides to every story
None of us could possibly have avoided hearing NATO’s side of the story and the reasons and justifications given for Gaddafi’s removal and how military intervention is necessary to protect Libyan citizens.
But are you sure you’ve heard both sides?Have you heard Gaddafi’s perspective on this issue? Or have you just heard “his side” as represented by the mainstream western media? If so I can start by telling you that his words, and the words of his son, Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi have been deliberately misinterpreted and edited out of context to create simple soundbite propaganda to influence people.
You will find that there is a completely different side of this story that is being completely ignored. It is not even being debated for it's merits, it simply is not talked about at all in the mainstream media.
Think about it. How much do you really know about Libya? Did you in all honesty know anything about the country before these events started unfolding?
If I would have asked you back in February 10 questions about Libya and it’s affairs, how many do you think you would have answered correctly? And how much do you honestly know about what is going on there now?
I often find it intriguing how people tend to think they are qualified to give their view on things that in reality they know next to nothing about.
They might have vague ideas generated by the mainstream media, biased textbooks and general pre-conceived notions, but not an actual thorough understanding of the country and it’s people and customs.
I had a discussion with a guy at a local bar the other day and I began the conversation by asking if he could tell me on what continent Libya was. Neither he nor his friend could answer correctly, picking Europe and Asia as their educated guesses. For some reason this guy still felt that his take on the situation was more accurate than mine, even as I told him I had been spending weeks investigating the matter. For those of you confused the correct answer is Africa.
I want to ask a simple question to make a simple case? Can you name me one current Libyan government official? You’re not allowed to say Gaddafi. Who holds the position of “Secretary of the General People’s Assembly” a position comparable to that of prime minister, although with a slightly different emphasis as he does not represent a political party and does not alone hold significant power. Did you even know that such a position exists in Libya and that he is elected by the people?
The less you know about something, the easier it is to deceive you.
My intention for exposing your potential and likely ignorance on this subject is not an attempt to show that I’m smarter or better than you are. As I found out myself researching this article I knew remarkably little about Libya. And that is my point.
The mainstream media is focusing entirely on a set of news stories that have the specific intention of gathering support for military action and actively suppressing any story that would lead to people opposing it. This pattern will be exposed clearly as this article progresses.
It’s no wonder we don’t know much about Libya. Of course it gets confusing with all the different stories we hear of dictators and tyrants oversees. It is difficult to be an expert on all nations in the world. Just consider how many nations have existed and how long and rich each of their history is and how complex and unique the situation in each country is today.
When this is combined with a relentless, precise and extremely well organized propaganda blitz against one nation that is being targeted by an army, it’s all too easy to tag along.
I would also like to add that this article has proven difficult and this is the third version of it, well actually fourth considering that this translation is updated from the third, final Icelandic version. But it is of vital importance to me that it is as concise and convincing as possible, because the more I wrote and the more I researched, the more clear the magnitude and the scale of this massive deception campaign became. Most people, unfortunately have not developed the type of immunity to this kind of propaganda and are simply put, still to gullible in the face of such force.
I am not going to be answering comments about me being arrogant or one sided or any other remarks unrelated to the specific points I raise in this article. My only goal is to speak truly and freely on how I feel about thisafter my research and you are welcome to make of it whatever you want.
I will not pretend to be neutral when it comes to the deliberate killings of innocent civilians and the attempted destruction of a great, unique nation who'se people want nothing but peace and independence.
My goal is obviously not to achieve popularity or attention as Gaddafi is certainly not the most popular man in the world right now. Thanks to the media mind manipulation machines most now see him as a crazed dictator who kills peaceful protesters, schedules mass rapes and supports terrorism. And I’m taking "his side" ? Good luck me…
If the only thing I achieve with this article is to show that there is such a thing as Gaddafi's side and that it has been blacked out by the media, then it will have been worth it. As that should be of deep concern to us all.
Ultimately of course, the question is not about Gaddafi. This is what the propaganda machines manage to do so successfully. With their Hollywood formula they create the image of a bad guy that has to be stopped by the good guy and all other sides of the arguments can be ignored as long as that is the case.
But don’t think for one second I will just sit by as this next blockbuster bloodbath unfolds and not do my best expose the brutal reality that flies in your face as you start to research it.
Unfortunately this is not a subject that can be covered in the fast food style of the gossip, profit driven mainstream media garbage. I do not take their example of aiming my writings at the lowest common denominator, rather I am trying to appeal to those who are genuinely interested in researching this topic with the goal of understanding it. There is simply put far too much that needs to be addressed and I assure you, every word is there for a reason. Except for these five words.
I sometimes get comments that my articles are too long and that no one will bother to read them. It reminds me of a story I heard of Bob Dylan. This slick record executive came to the studio after hearing an album, and said “ I love this song, but you need to make a short version so we can get it played on the radio. “This is the short version” Dylan replied and I would say the same.
Don’ be so naive as to think you can be knowledgable about a subject after reading a few mass produced news stubs.
I would also like to point out that if you think this article is too long, just think how long it took me to write it. I promise you, I am saving you a lot of trouble. What took me months to research, you can read in a few hours. And for that I am getting no money from anyone. I don’t do it for fun either as I know of many more fun ways to spend my time than browsing through pictures and watching videos about war and death.
I do this solely out of responsibility for my own conscience.
And even after this article and all the research I did, I still have questions.
You don’t need to finish the entire article now, it will be here, but I highly recommend finishing it eventually.
I will provide links and sources as we go and I encourage anyone to challenge their contents, or the arguments I make. Let’s hope I’m not wrong after all the work I’ve put into this.
Now, some of you won’t need to read any article to know that the war on Libya is based on lies. You just know by experience not to trust the mainstream media and to know that the military powers NEVER take on such a mission for simple humanitarian reasons. They know that all such rhetoric by those in power is empty and meaningless and that there are always other reasons involved that include geo-political strategy, resources and control.
If you are one of those people I still recommend that you read on, I am positive you will understand more thoroughly the nature and the scale of this particular deception, in this particular war.
My goal in this article is to deconstruct every single argument and justification being made for the bombing and potential ground invasion of Libya. It is divided in these 8 chapters:

Rejection by African Union of ICC’s Qaddafi arrest warrant reveals ICC as hoax.

If an entire continent rejects an alleged international institution’s actionsas illegitimate and self-serving, does said institution still get to call itself “international?” Furthermore, does it still hold any sort of mandate to continue on as self-proclaimed international arbiter? Certainly not, and for the International Criminal Court, whose “arrest warrant” for Libyan leader Moammar Qaddafi was soundly rejected by the 53-member African Union, their last shred of self-proclaimed credibility has been rendered moot.
The arrest warrant itself is based on ICC’s own “investigation.” The ICC said, “in the course of its investigation, due to unprecedented cooperation from different States and organisations (none of which are currently working in Libya), the Office of the Prosecutor has been able to collect extensive documentation and evidence in a short period of time, through 30 missions to 11 States, and through interviews with a large number of persons, including key insiders and eyewitnesses. ” Such a premise is so recklessly irresponsible, so baseless, and so morally bankrupt, it is easy to see why the African Union has such a difficult time accepting it.
The International Criminal Court itself claims to be, “an independent, permanent court that investigates and prosecutes persons accused of the most serious crimes of international concern, namely genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.”
US kill team in Afganistan
A visit to the Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) site reveals just who is behind the ICC, who is actively promoting it and networking with the ICC’s various NGO partners, and the fact that all involved boast the same financial and political supporters.
The CICC claims to include, “2,500 civil society organizations in 150 different countries working in partnership to strengthen international cooperation with the ICC; ensure that the Court is fair,effective and independent; make justice both visible and universal; and advance stronger national laws that deliver justice to victims of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.” The CICC however, also is “deeply appreciative of the generous support” provided by the European Union, the Ford Foundation, the Fortune500-lined John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, George Soros’ Open Society Institute, and Humanity United.
African Union executive Jean Ping called the ICC discriminatory, going only after “crimes” committed in Africa while ignoring those committed by the West in places like Iraq,Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The AU has also condemned France for its blatant violation of the already illegitimate UNSC r.1973 by dropping weapons to Libya’s Al-Qaeda-linked rebels.
Meanwhile, US National Endowment for Democracy-fundedProject on Middle East Democracy reported that in reaction to Libya’s threats to fight back against NATO aggression, U.S. State Department Spokesman Mark Toner said, “This is an individual who is obviously capable of carrying out these kinds of threats. It’s what makes him so dangerous. But we continue to carry out the NATO mission, while at the same time increasing pressure on him to step aside.” Like France air-dropping weapons to admitted terrorists, the US attempting to remove Qaddafi is a direct violation of the NATO coalition’s own contrived UN resolution. That the ICC isn’t filing cases against NATO members for their multitude of crimes, and the fact that an entire continent has rejected the ICC’s decision, settles the fact for all concerned that the contrived organization holds absolutely no legitimacy.
The Libyan rebels are the darlings of our media. They are described as seeking a parliamentary style democracy in Libya. Of course I would say the same if I wanted to overthrow my government but needed help from the West to do so. If it helped me gain weapons I would even tell them I want to have McDonalds, sweatshops and access to PlayboyTV in my country.
Thus I do not consider these claims to be very reliable. But then who are the rebels, if they're not pro-democracy activists? It's very simple. They are the Libyan wing of the Ku Klux Klan. In the same manner that racism and religious extremism are a bigger problem in the Southern United States (No offense meant to my Southern readers), or in North-Western Pakistan, they're a bigger problem in Eastern Libya.
A Diplomatic cable released by Wikileaks explains how religious fundamentalism is a major problem in Eastern Libya and especially Benghazi, where the uprising of the Libyan Wing of the Ku Klux Klan began. It mentions:
Unlike the rest of the country, sermons in eastern Libyan mosques are laced with phraseology urging worshippers to support JIHAD in Iraq and elsewhere through direct participation or financial contributions. While senior regime figures, including Saif al-Islam al-Qadhafi, appear to have recognized that the east merits more attention and investment, the reported ability of radical imams to propagate messages urging support for and participation in JIHAD despite GOL security organizations' efforts suggests that claims by senior GOL officials that the east is under control may be overstated.

xxxxxxxxxxxx partly attributed the fierce mindset in Benghazi and Derna to the message preached by imams in eastern Libyan mosques, which he said is markedly more radical than that heard in other parts of the country. xxxxxxxxxxxx makes a point of frequenting mosques whenever he visits Libya as a means to connect with neighbors and relatives and take the political pulse. Sermons in eastern mosques, particularly the Friday 'khutba', are laced with "coded phrases" urging worshippers to support JIHAD in Iraq and elsewhere through direct participation or financial contributions. The language is often ambiguous enough to be plausibly denied, he said, but for devout Muslims it is clear, incendiary and unambiguously supportive of JIHAD. Direct and indirect references to "martyrdom operations" were not uncommon. By contrast with mosques in TRIPOLI and elsewhere in the country, where references to JIHADare extremely rare, in Benghazi and Derna they are fairly frequent subjects.[Link]
The fact that the Libyan rebel army is made up of Al Qaeda is an open secret. In a previous report I looked at some of the evidence for this.[Link] Back then I was seen as insane by some for believing Gadaffi's claim that he was fighting Al Qaeda. As of speaking the evidence shows I was right. In The Telegraph we find an admission by a top NATO commander that the rebels have links to Al Qaeda:
Admiral James Stavridis, Nato's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, said that American intelligence had picked up "flickers" of terrorist activity among the rebel groups. Senior British government figures described the comment as "very alarming".

"We are examining very closely the content, composition, the personalities, who are the leaders of these opposition forces," Admiral Stavridis said in testimony to the US Senate.
While the opposition's leadership appeared to be "responsible men and women" fighting the Gaddafi regime, Admiral Stavridis said, "we have seen flickers in the intelligence of potential al Qaeda, Hizbollah, we've seen different things."
The Libyan Rebel commander admitshis men fought with Al Qaeda in Iraq to murder American soldiers. From the Telegraph:
In an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Mr al-Hasidi admitted that he had recruited "around 25" men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, are "today are on the front lines in Adjabiya".
Mr al-Hasidi insisted his fighters "are patriots and good Muslims, not terrorists," but added that the "members of al-Qaeda are also good Muslims and are fighting against the invader".
His revelations came even as Idriss Deby Itno, Chad's president, said al-Qaeda had managed to pillage military arsenals in the Libyan rebel zone and acquired arms, "including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries".
Mr al-Hasidi admitted he had earlier fought against "the foreign invasion" in Afghanistan, before being "captured in 2002 in Peshwar, in Pakistan". He was later handed over to the US, and then held in Libya before being released in 2008.
US and British government sources said Mr al-Hasidi was a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, or LIFG, which killed dozens of Libyan troops in guerrilla attacks around Derna and Benghazi in 1995 and 1996.[Link]
This fact illustrates how the US government does not care about it's own personnel, since it now is helping the people who murdered their soldiers. American soldiers would be wise to desert the US military in protest of the people who murdered their fellow soldiers now being aided through NATO bombardments. I have mentioned in a previous report the fact that the day of rage was called on the same day as the last men from the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group would be released. The fact that this rebel commander was a member of the Islamic Fighting Group of course demonstrates that my assertions were right and the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group plays a major role in this conflict.[Link]
An Algerian newspaper mentions how the rebels sold weapons to Al Qaeda:
Rebels who have plundered Libyan army depots sell weapons to militants from Al Qaeda's North Africa branch, the Algerian paper L'Expression said referring to a source from the Algerian security forces.
The militant Islamist group has already received heavy weaponry and air defense missiles from the Libyan rebels, the paper said, adding that if Western nations decide to equip the Libyans, these weapons could also come to the hands of Al Qaeda terrorists.
"Al Qaeda continues to recruit fighters on Libyan territory and is preparing a war against the regime of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi," the paper said.April 2011.[Link]
Anti-Semitism amongst the rebels
Anti-semitism is a loaded term, because it tends to be used by hate groups like the ADL against people who either criticize the terrorist political entity of Israel or people who happen to be Jewish. Nonetheless, anti-semitism, that is, a hatred of individuals simply because of their Jewish ethnic background, does exist, and it is a problem. From AOLnews we find:
To many Libyan people, the biggest question mark about Gadhafi does not involve his repressive and dictatorial rule, delusional statements or brazen lies. Behind closed doors, for years, they've wondered if he is Jewish. Last week the issue came out in the open, as NBC's Richard Engel reported from Libya that one in five rebels was fighting Gadhafi because he believes the leader is Jewish.[Link]
Now this seems like an intentional myth used to demonize Gadaffi by playing into racist sentiments amongst elements of the Libyan population, but it does demonstrate a problem for the official media account. If one in five rebels are simply fighting Gadaffi because they think the man supposedly has a Jewish mother, what kind of democracy activists are these? If one in five Obama voters voted for Obama because they believed McCain has a Jewish mother, how would the media respond to that?Can you imagine the outrage? But now, nobody appears to care.
Worse though than anti-semitic beliefs amongst the Libyan rebels are the anti-African inclinations of the rebels. Not because either form of racism is worse, but because Libya is home to 2 million black people whose lives are at stake.
Anti-Black racism amongst the Libyan Ku Klux Klan: Pogroms, rape, murder and hatred
Black men and women need to be aware of one thing.The media are not their friends.Al Jazeera raises racist sentiments amongst Libyan people by telling them that any black man found in Libya must be a mercenary imported by Muammar al-Gadaffi. Do they think for a moment about their responsibility? The American media claim to be concerned about human rights violations in Libya, but what about Ivory coast? What about Congo?
Unless you have oil, NATO doesn't care about you. Anyone, whether black or white, concerned about African issues should get his news from Africans themselves because our media does not care what happens to black families in Libya. They simply do not care. If it takes a genocide to get rid of Gadaffi, the media is OK with that.
In 2000 there was a racist uprising against black Libyans. Hundreds were killed by racist mobs armed with Machetes.[Link]
The reality now on the ground is that the Libyan Ku Klux Klan is raping black women and girls. The LATimes reports:
One of the accused shown to journalists was Alfusainey Kambi, 53, a disheveled Gambian wearing a bloodstained sport shirt and military fatigue trousers. He said he had been dragged from his home and beaten by three armed men who he said also raped his wife. A dirty bandage covered a wound on his forehead.[Link]
The United Nations has reported on the rape of a 12 year old girl by rebels:
Sudanese refugees arriving from eastern Libya at the Egyptian border told UNHCR that armed Libyans were going door to door, forcing sub-Saharan Africans to leave. "In one instance a 12-year-old Sudanese girl was said to have been raped," Mr. Edwards said.[Link]
As mentioned, black families are also forced out of their homes. Going through all reported cases of abuse rape and torture black Libyans go through by the Libyan Ku Klux Klan would be a difficult task, but it has to be done. This report is not the right place for this, I will see if I can accomplish this task on Wikipedia.
Numerous black men are also lynched:
We left behind our friends from Chad. We left behind their bodies. We had 70 or 80 people from Chad working for our company. They cut them dead with pruning shears and axes, attacking them, saying you're providing troops for Gadhafi. The Sudanese, the Chadians were massacred. We saw it ourselves.(Link)
Video of all the abuse black Libyans go through is available on youtube, you can look for yourself if you feel the need to. It is usually mistitled by the Western Ku Klux Klan sympathizers as being evidence of "black mercenaries".
The looming threat for black Libyans when Gadaffi loses to the rebels is genocide. This is the final solutionthey have planned for the black Libyans. This is their own admission:
“Even before this, black Africans in general are not liked at all, but this [mercenary] theory has made the situation tremendously worse,” one black African man, holed up at home and too worried about reprisals to be identified by name or nationality, said by telephone from Tripoli.
Like many black Africans, he speaks of rebel sympathisers in the capital Tripoli clamouring outside his door at night, warning himhe will be the first to be killed when the regime falls.[Link]
This is the future that Libya faces if Gadaffi falls.
The West is willing to destroy Libya and carry out a genocide, all to get rid of Gadaffi. The left will cheer them on along the way. Make no mistake, it is the cowardly left that made this possible.
