Who would have thought that Twitter, a place for so many people to muse about their lunches and rant about their boring lives would actually be used to help triangulate bombing targets in Libya? 
Yes, NATO is now including Tweets as part of its "intelligence picture" in an attempt to locate Gaddafi and his “nefarious forces”.

   The 59-year-old has never met anybody from Libya. She has not visited the Arab world; chronic pain makes it hard for her to get around. But from her home near Seeley’s Bay, 40 kilometres northeast of Kingston, she joined a committed cadre of social media users who have become, in effect, volunteer intelligence analysts. On Twitter, Facebook and other services, they discuss satellite images, vessel tracking data and the latest gossip from their sources inside the country.

   A Twitter account with apparent links to the British military has even taken the unusual step of asking users to submit the precise co-ordinates of troops loyal to Colonel Moammar Gadhafi.

   Ms. Clinch was among the first to respond. Months of online activism earned her a role as administrator of the Libyan Youth Movement page on Facebook – the only non-Libyan honoured with the job, she says – and on Monday she noticed that a regular member, somebody located in western Libya, had pinpointed a gas station converted into a temporary headquarters for Col. Gadhafi’s forces. She tweeted the co-ordinates, along with the longitude and latitude of a few other targets passed along from the same source, asking NATO to “clean up” the government troops.

  Ms. Clinch was not sure whether NATO had bombed those locations, but she continued to scour the Internet for more leads.

“I don’t believe in dictatorships,” she said. “It’s inconceivable to me that people could live in these conditions.”

   Twitter is no replacement for the forward air controllers who have guided bombs from the ground since the Second World War. Canadian and U.S. forces now call these specialists Joint Terminal Attack Controllers; some elite foreign troops are rumoured to be among the advisers helping the Libyan rebels, but they apparently do not include JTACs. This leaves an important gap in NATO’s view of the war: for all its sophisticated eyes overhead, the alliance suffers a shortage of real-time intelligence from below.

   This shortcoming is part of the reason why air power has never succeeded in overthrowing a regime, analysts say, a historical record that fuels skepticism about the campaign.

Those precedents may not be entirely valid in the new age of social media, however. In a press briefing on June 10, Wing Commander Mike Bracken, a NATO spokesman, described the so-called “fusion centre” that pulls together intelligence.

“We get information from open sources on the Internet; we get Twitter,” Wing Commander Bracken said. “You name any source of media and our fusion centre will deliver all of that into usable intelligence.”

Lieutenant-General Charles Bouchard, the Canadian who commands the operation, ultimately decides whether to trust what he’s hearing.

“He will decide, ‘That is good information and I can act on it,’ ” the spokesman said. “Where it comes from, it’s not relevant to the commander.”

   Some online activists have been contacted directly for their input. NATO staffers also appear to have set up unofficial accounts to solicit information; one user selected the name “HMS Nonsuch,” a term sometimes used by the British navy to indicate a hypothetical ship during exercises. That account describes itself as “unofficial, not run by the Royal Navy,” and offered assurances that Twitter is only a method of gathering tips that will be corroborated with other sources.

   Robert Rowley, 48, supervisor of a Dairy Queen in Arizona, said he has already seen results from his Twitter activism. He was among the first to notice fuel tankers slipping past NATO warships and docking at ports controlled by Col. Gadhafi, which led to NATO interdictions.

   He also wonders whether his tweets might be connected to the bombing of a Gadhafi communications centre in Tripoli. Combing through satellite images, he noticed that a property listed as a commercial warehouse had a yard containing what appeared to be military vehicles. He published his observations; 10 hours later, the spot was hit by a NATO air strike.

At least seven civilians in Libya have been killed by a NATO airstrike which hit a residential area overnight. Earlier, the Alliance confirmed it had mistakenly attacked rebel forces, but the number killed in that friendly-fire attack is not known.

A spokesman for the Libyan government, Dr. Moussa Ibrahim, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. He said the area was hit by a NATO strike.
“They were attacked by rockets from the sky. People were killed, children,” he told RT. “With my own hands, with my own eyes I saw and helped take out little girls who were killed and little boys, the father and the mother. Two whole families perished under this attack.

A Call to the Anti-War movement and all who are still human

    The bombardments of Libya get bloodier and bloodier, more and more ferocious, more and more desperate. Let those with eyes open them and see, NATO is totally unmasked for exactly what they are.

    NATO is a terrorist organization, the armed enforcer of the west and specifically the United States, the equivalent of the mob enforcer, except the mob enforcer probably possesses more humanity.

    Behind NATO is the United Nations, established after the war to hopefully prevent a repeat of that sort of conflict ever again. Instead, we see it sanctioning and validating the most inhuman, savage, beastly behavior by NATO, pounding the living daylights out of a country that doesn't have the means to fight back. And its leader, Ban Ki-Moon, looking on stupidly and approvingly, most certainly being well compensated for his cooperation.

    What Libya has at its disposal basically is the morality and character of its people, who have been willing to withstand, to endure, to continue despite the fact that this terrorist organization is trying its best to make the lives of everyone in Libya unbearable so that they will no longer support their leader and their government.

    NATO does not care how many civilians they kill, in fact, the more, the merrier. Suffer and die until they get what they want...a change in government to get rid of a leader who will not bend his knee.

The dogs of war, the purveyors of state terrorism grossly over estimated themselves and underestimated the Libyan people. They underestimated the love and support that their leader, Muamar Ghaddafi, has from his people and their character, which includes the willingness for total self sacrifice.

    Day after day, these people come out on the street to demonstrate their determination. They stand boldly and proudly in the embattled capital despite the very real possibility that the next bomb might be falling right in the middle of them.

THAT is COURAGE. The Libyan people should have the total support and admiration of everyone in the world. In fact, they should make us all feel ashamed.

So yesterday, they came for the Serbs. But no one spoke up, because they were not a Serb. Then they came of the Iraqis, but nobody spoke up because they were not an Iraqi. Today they come for the Libyans, but no one speaks up because they are not Libyan.

Tomorrow, they come for...?

   I believe there are still people with some character who love peace, without distinction of creed, ethnicity, nationality or political affiliation who might have the courage to stand up to these psychotic, sadistic monsters that are NATO. How insolent NATO is, believing they can get away with anything.

Are we going to let them? Are we going to stand up before they come for us? There are strong and right thinking blocks who in truth constitute the majority, I repeat the majority of mankind.

   SCO, BRIC, ALBA, UNASUR, the Rio Group, the African Union, China, India and Russia, the left progressives of the world...this is the majority, the last stand, the last chance, the last salvation of all of us before there is no one left for NATO to pursue in their evil gluttony for resources.

The mask is off...NATO must die or we will all die. 

   The capitalist system is in its last death rattles and in its condition, it is more dangerous than ever. The devil has great wrath because he knows that his time is short. NATO cannot and will not succeed.

NATO is a horror on this planet. 

    What makes them doubly horrendous is their pretensions to providing a "humanitarian" service. Their pretentions to acting for freedom and democracy are laughable. But their lies and media manipulation are deadly serious.

"War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength, Freedom is Slavery," was meant as a horrifying futuristic picture by George Orwell, not as a blueprint on how to succeed in plunder and conquest. Humanitarian bombing, collateral damage, part and parcel of the Orwellian nightmare.

NATO western corporate media would be the pride and joy of Adolph Hitler and Joseph Goebbels.

One of the things that has impressed me throughout the years of fighting their evil is their ability to continually repeat their lies, having been caught lying time after time, still with the ridiculous expectation of being believed the next time the lies are repeated.

Unfortunately, many have been so dumbed down, so turned into unthinking zombies that they do believe these lies and repeat them themselves. Witness the stupid U.S. servicemen who went to Iraq to "get even for 9-11" when Iraq didn't have a damn thing to do with 9-11. Better the morons to look at their own pool of buddies.

The fight against terror? No it's a fight FOR terror, to create more and more of it so that the destablization prepares the ground for more opportunies to grab resources. Colonialist, imperialist piracy, in full view of the entire globe on an insane rampage.

Just check out the daily count of missions...it demonstrates total evil, demonic insanity.  

Even the mind of Adolph Hitler could not come up with such evil.

Please, leaders of the world, realize that this is exactly what they are preparing for YOU and your country before you go along with them again! Did someone mention a missile "defense shield"?

NATO and Al Qaeda, strange bedfellows? 

  Heck no, they have been in bed together since the first war against Afghanistan when the CIA founded, funded, supplied, trained and paid Islamic terrorists to try to take down the only decent, progressive government Afghanistan ever had.

Then these very same Al Qaeda operatives funded by CIA moved into the Balkans and the Caucasus and created destabilization in those areas.

No one within NATO has the human quality of being humble to realize that they are going to exhaust themselves and run out of their means to destroy. They cannot go on forever like this.

They must be deprived of all sustenance that the nations provide them. Cut off their funds, cut off their supply of meat puppets that they are sending into war.

    Everyone of conscience is obligated to contact their government authorities at the very least to express their disapproval. Then the next step is to come together with others of the same mind, and together we can 

STOP NATO before NATO destroys all life on this planet.

Lastly and most importantly, take legal action or support those leaders who do. Well, actually what I would like to see is a world revolution. 

Let the people rise and let the hangings begin of war criminals, take their ability to control and to make war away from them forever, set the planet free of fascism which is corporatism at its worst and capitalist exploitation!

(V) ALERT!!! Invasion of Libya in July 2011!

   Informational website Infowars.com, owned the famous American TV presenter Alex Jones received disturbing reports from military personnel on the basis of Ft. Hood in Texas, confirming the presence of U.S. plans to begin full-scale ground operation in Libya. Presumably the invasion to begin in October this year, after the deployment of troops in the region.

    The source said that more special forces will go to Libya in July, and the first division Calvary (heavy machinery) and the 3rd Corps rapid deployment of land in late October - early November. Initial troop level is estimated at 12 thousand soldiers and 15 thousand employees of logistics, that is, a total of nearly 30 thousand troops.

    This information is confirmed by numerous phone calls and emails from other soldiers, some of whom argue that the troop deployment will begin in September. According to these sources the operation will be supported by the British SAS. Also, there is evidence that the U.S. military assault of sabotage and reconnaissance units are already in Libya. Messages vary in detail, but in general the overall picture is pretty clear: as Qaddafi continues to shy away from trying to remove him from power, the fall will be a full-scale war.

    A informant, identified in reports as a "specialist H" morgue worker at U.S. Central Command, said that Americans already have a loss in Libya. He said that at least two soldiers and three civilians were killed by gunshot wounds, as reported by the media yet.

    The fact that Libya is preparing a full-scale war, the fifth, in addition to four already ongoing at the same time in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen, "Alex Canal" also told the geo-political analyst Webster Tarpley doctor. The desire to spin as much as possible the spread of regional conflicts could well trigger World War III, which will also cover Syria, Lebanon, Iran and even Saudi Arabia, said Tarpley.

    Meanwhile, Obama refuses to report to Congress regarding the continuation of hostilities after the allowed 60-day period, "the president of law." First he promised to finish all in a matter of days, and now calls the events "Kinetic" and not war. In this case it is justified by the fact that is subject to a UN mandate.

    And on Saturday, June 18, it became known that Obama has decided to continue military operations in Libya, even if he fails to get Congressional approval, and despite the fact that the Pentagon lawyers and advisers were opposed to this plan.

    OTAN's murderous policy continues in Libya as, against every fibre of international law, its leaders continue to target civilians, civilian structures and Colonel Gaddafi himself without the slightest iota of respect for human life. The news of the death of Gaddafi's grandchildren was met with a derisory sniff by Cameron, Obama and Sarkozy.

    The one who is murdering children is OTAN. One wonders how these three would react to the news that their children or grandchildren had been targeted by terrorists, blasted to pieces by a bomb. Would they scoff and say "Well they shouldn't have been in a command and control centre"? If civilian residences are military targets for OTAN, what then would Downing Street be? Or the White House? Or the Elysée Palace?

    NATO is bound and restricted by UNSC Resolutions 1970 and 1973, which state there is to be a no-fly zone (imposed already, so why is  OTAN still there?) and measures to protect civilian life. Why then is  OTAN acting to aid and support terrorists led by one Hashidi, who was actively engaged in obtaining Benghazi-based terrorists to fight alongside bin Laden's Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and to provide the bulk of the suicide bombers in Iraq? Why have Cameron, Obama and Sarkozy systematically failed to refer to this and why have the media in their countries skirted round these questions?
