Even a gentle breeze against a U.S. flag is enough agitation of their patriotic molecules for it to start raining praise. Patriotic, militaristic, imperial“Americans” simply cannot get over themselves–but that’s not the worst part.
The worst part is they expect the rest of us to genuflect. Any time one of theirs dies in a war of their choosing, they automatically ascend to heaven as“heroes”. American + death = hero.
They are exact replicas of the fundamentalists with whom they lock horns: death is always martyrdom.

Hillary Clinton Sends Lackey to House Committee to Cover Her Involvement in Benghazi Attack
Stevens was involved in arms deals with the NTC who supports the Salafi extremist movement in Saudi Arabia as well as selling weaponry to the Muslim Brotherhood. Ironically, these factions sent their men to murder Stevens at the gated-villa in Benghazi after Clinton reduced security and told the Libyan forces to stand down.
Since this attack, Clinton has been working hard to cover her tracks and involvement in creating the perfect scenario that would facilitate the attack which occurred. The State Department initially said that cryptic warnings of an impending attack on Benghazi was relayed, yet devoid of a time frame and therefore ignored.

March 3rd, it is Ali Zeidan's turn, a self-appintewd spokesperson from the Libyan League for Human Rights which always, only from Paris, presents more terrifying data: 6,000 victims (3,000 in Tripoli, 2,000 in Benghazi, 1,000 elsewhere).
But Zeidan's denunciation is not published in the LLHT website, and by the way Zeidan is not the president nor the director: another fake source.

Zeidan is indeed a spokesperson of Benghazi terrorists. And he is the sameZeidan who, on March 23rd, stated: "In future oil agreements, we will remember those who helpd us" (by bombing more!).

DOCUMENT - LIBYAN "AUTHORITIES" URGED TO PROTECT BANI WALI RESIDENTS FROM CLASHES

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
PUBLIC STATEMENT

12 October 2012
Libyan authorities urged to protect Bani Wali residents from clashes
Amnesty International today has called on the Libyan authorities to ensure that Bani Walid residents are protected from reckless fire, and that movement to Bani Walid is not arbitrarily restricted.

The call was issued against the backdrop of armed clashes in the eastern outskirts of Bani Walid, and after a civil society delegation travelling to Bani Walid with the aim of resolving the tensions there was prevented from reaching the city.

According to local residents and doctors, armed confrontations in the area of Mardoum on the eastern outskirts of the city resulted in three deaths among Bani Walid residents on 10 October.

Among the dead are nine-year-old Mohamed Mustafa Mohamed Fathallah and his 25-year-old uncle, Abdel Azim Mohamed al-Mabrouk.
According to their relatives, the two sustained fatal shrapnel injuries at around 4pm on 10 October, while sheltering in the house of a relative in the neighbourhood of al-Nahr, also in the eastern outskirts of the city.
Relatives told Amnesty International that the victims had fled their own home in the area of Mardoum –site of the confrontations – to seek safety, and were standing about 2.5 metres away from the house when fatally injured.

BENGHAZI CAR BOMB: Libya, Benghazi A police car exploded during a failedassassination attempt on a GNC police colonel in the eastern city of Benghazi, a GNC police official said.

The attack was the latest in a series of assassination attempts in Benghazi where U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens was killed in a September 11 attack on the U.S. consulate.

Unknown suspects placed a home-made bomb under Mohammed Ben Haleem’s car which was parked outside his house, police spokesman Majed al-Obeidi said.

“The colonel turned his engine on to warm up the car, then stepped back into the house to retrieve something. That's when the car exploded,” he told Reuters.

Obeidi said the explosion in the central Benghazi neighborhood of al-Hadayeq caused no injuries or deaths.

BANI WALID: Bani Walid Attacks, Poison Gas Allegations
I've let the blog lapse, haven't been following comments, etc. Sorry. But Leonore Massanet has at her site some disconcerting reports in the last few days (Spanish language).
Several posts there address reported use of poison gas by rebel forces against the people of Bani Walid in their recent assaults on the area.
It's a little Déjà Vu, or at least not  the first time reported (but mainly ignored) poison gassing of recalcitrant Libyans who resist their new master-puppets. Last year, if leveled against the sovereign Libyan government, it'd be taken as fact. Now, it's not even on page 10.

BANI WALID REPORT [13.09.2012.]
Home to Libya’s largest tribe Warfalla tribe, Bani Walid has been the safest cities in Libya since the war ended last October.
The local population attribute this to the fact that no militias are able to enter the city from outside and only its own people volunteered to protect it.

The Libyan occupation regime is determined that Qaddafi should stand trial in Libya under fake charges, even more concocted than those of the ICC which are arbitrary and politically motivated.

Lawyer for the illegal regime in Libya, Ahmed Al-Jehani, told the two-day pre-trial hearing, which ended Wednesday, that putting Qaddafi on trial inside the country would provide a “unique opportunity for national reconciliation.” He also called for patience and said that the Libyan authorities “needed time” to organise a fair trial.

ZWEILA, Southern Libya: Tabu [ "black" Libyans] vs. Zwai tribe [not so "black" Libyans]
A group of Tabu fighters with mud-splattered trucks rest on the outskirts of Zweila, a historic slave-trade stop in Libya’s southwest Sahara.

They police the country’s vast and seemingly impenetrable southern frontier with Sudan, Chad and Niger .
After war , NTC "awarded" Tabu commander Issa Abdel Majid Mansour oversight over vital desert crossings to the detriment of Kufra’s majority Arab Zwai tribe.
The Zwai  stretch over oil-rich territory to Ajdabiya, 150km south of Benghazi.
When Kufra’s violence ended in an uneasy ceasefire last June, the Zwai erected the barrier, encircling the bitterly divided town and its population of 44,000.

The Zwai [Arab tribe] are "convinced" that the town’s Tabu ["Black" Libyans] community is mostly foreign, and is seeking to carve out an autonomous homeland. Their other concern is control over the south’s most profitable livelihood, smuggling.

The Tripoli-based NTC/GNC has failed to address tribal and economic grievances at the heart of this year’s deadly clashes between Tabu and Arab tribes in the southern trade hubs of Kufra and Sebha, now governed by fragile ceasefires.

The U.S. believes Islamic extremist groups, including Al Qaeda, are trying to forge supply lines through southern Libya to its neighbours. It appears poised to introduce a more robust role for the U.S. Africa military command,AFRICOM, in its expanding ‘war on terror’.

Meanwhile, the French strive to retain a monopoly on the mineral-rich region, which they traditionally regard as their post-colonial backyard.

MALAYSIA : Angry students are occupying Libya’s embassy in Kuala Lumpur in protest at government cuts to their scholarship funding.

The students, whose qualifications and future careers are threatened by the cuts, began their protest on Tuesday. Some in the building have now begun a hunger strike.
Since the beginning of October, scholarship students have not received a single penny.

The problems faced by scholarship students in Malaysia seem far from exceptional. Libyan students worldwide are affected by these government cuts [except they are not part of family  of NTC/GNC members]. Protests are being staged at other Libyan embassies, and one is planned for next month in London. Libya: UN urges protection of civilians following deadly clashes in Bani Walid
The United Nations today voiced concern over the impact of recent security developments, including loss of life and injury, amid deadly clashes between armed groups in the Libyan town of Bani Walid.

The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in the North African nation, Georg Charpentier, reminded all parties of their obligations under international humanitarian law to protect civilians and meet their basic needs.

“He further calls on all parties to extend their full support for a mediated settlement that allows the State to exercise its national authority and comprehensively addresses all outstanding issues related to Bani Walid,” said a statement issued by the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), of which Mr. Charpentier is serving as its acting head.

Libya: A Year Later, the War Is Far From Over – Intelligence Agencies, Militias, Private Contractors and Oil Companies
Carefully managing the news coming out of Libya, Western citizens were assured that Libya was in a ‘transition’ phase.
Step one in the planning of the masterminds of the intervention wasdeclaration of victory after the destruction of Sirte and the displacement of hundreds of thousands.
Step two involved the formation of an interim government which was supposed to have been completed by October 31, 2011 with Abdurrahim El-Keib succeeding Mahmoud Jibril.

This push for autonomy in the oil rich region ensured that there was a flurry of activities as the executives of the oil companies and their private contractors fanned out in Benghazi to ensure that their own companies would emerge as strong forces after the redistribution of oil contracts.

International news organizations went overboard to highlight the success of the elections and the ‘fact’ that Islamists and Jihadists did not come out as winners.

These well-crafted versions of the ‘transition’ concealed the continued warfare that was going on all over Libya. There were approximately 1,700 militia groups running the country with each neighborhood dominated by a faction that went into the business of using weapons as a means of gaining access to resources.  But the 230 ‘security incidents’ over the past year were the tip of the iceberg of the massive destabilization and killings that had occurred.

Black skinned Libyans from Tawergha were expelled from their community and more than 30,000 displaced. Even the usual spokespersons for Western imperial missions had to speak out as Human Rights Watch joined in the condemnation of the rule of the militias.

In Preparation for Wider War, Pentagon deploys Task Force in Jordan
The New York Times article suggests that the principal concern of the US military contingent in Jordan has been dealing with the influx of an estimated 180,000 refugees from neighboring Syria.

“Members of the American task force are spending the bulk of their time working with the Jordanian military on logistics—figuring out how to deploy tons of food, water and latrines to the border, for example, and training the Jordanian military to handle the refugees,” according to the Times.

The article offers no explanation of why the US military is uniquely suited for providing relief for refugees, having created millions of them over the course of the US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. http://www.globalresearch.ca/in-preparation-for-wider-war-pentagon-deploys-task-force-in-jordan/
NATO War Crimes in Libya
Although the rationale of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) for entry into Libyan conflict invoked humanitarian principles, the results have proven far from humane. In July 2011, NATO aircraft bombed Libya’s main water supply facility, which provided water to approximately 70 percent of the nation’s population. And, in a failed attempt to appear unbiased and objective, the BBC has revealed,

Libya trial for Saif al-Islam Gaddafi 'would damage ICC'
"This trial is not motivated by a desire for justice but a desire for revenge, and there is no right to revenge under international law," she said.

"Mr Gaddafi is not a guinea pig [for Libyan justice]. He is a person with rights. He should not be languishing in prison while Libya tries to build a judicial system."

At the opening of the hearing on Tuesday, Libyan lawyer Ahmed al-Jehani told the ICC judges that Libyan authorities "needed time" to organise a fair trial for Mr Gaddafi, and that they had not ruled out some level of ICC involvement.

But Ms Taylor suggested that a trial in Libya would be rigged to secure a conviction, and that the ICC risked harming its reputation.

"How can the ICC achieve lasting respect for international law... if it cedes jurisdiction to a domestic court which has been organised to convict rather than achieve justice?"

proNATO GNC Says it Has Evidence to Try Saif Al Islam
Libya's bid and arguments to have the case against Saif quashed in the Hague-based court was "like a house of cards," Melinda Taylor, representing Saif, was quoted by AFP as having said. "When examined in detail it collapses upon itself," she said.

Taylor, who spent nearly a month in detention after she and three other members of a defense team were arrested in Libya after visiting Saif in June, accused Libya's lawyers of misleading the ICC, for instance by saying a possible death sentence for Qaddafi could be commuted.

Australian lawyer Taylor cited a law passed by Libya's post-revolutionary National Transitional Council which said "no child of Qaddafi will ever benefit from leniency."

If convicted, "Mr. Qaddafi will be executed by hanging," Taylor told judges.
ICC prosecutors, however, said Libya should be given more time for the case.

"We see that the case being presented appears to be on track," prosecutor Sara Criscitelli was quoted as having told the ICC's three-judge bench.

Libya's Saif al-Islam Gaddafi profiled
The Western-educated English speaker was once regarded as the reformist face of the Libyan government, playing a key role in Libya's rapprochement with the West between 2000 and the 2011 uprising.

As head of the Gaddafi family's charity and allegedly the multi-billion dollar sovereign wealth fund, the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) - although he denies this - Mr Gaddafi had access to huge amounts of money, which he used to smooth relations with the West.

Plans to develop NOC Benghazi branch put on hold following protests in Tripoli
Plans to radically enhance the size and power the National Oil Company in Benghazi have been put on hold following protests from employees based in Tripoli.
The move would have effectively given the Benghazi branch full powers to run the oil sector in eastern Libya, where some 80 per cent of the country’s oil production is located.

Having only been signed off on 4 October, NOC Resolution 100 was in force for less than a week before being suspended on Tuesday, and a review of the situation is now underway.

In a statement explaining their discontent with the proposal, the NOC Workers Union in Tripoli complained that the move represented an unacceptable shift towards federalism in Libya by creating separate NOCs in the east and west.

Protests were held inside the company’s main building, and employees met with Oil Minister Abdulrahman Ben Yazza to discuss their concerns. - counter-protests have been held in Benghazi with oil workers reportedly threatening to ignore instructions from the NOC if the move does not go ahead.

Officials at the NOC in Tripoli have said that their decision on how to proceed should be finalised in the next few days.

US Names New  Diplomat To Libya TO SPREAD DEMOCRACY like Stevens
The State Department said Thursday that Laurence Pope, an Arabic-speaking foreign service officer who retired in 2000.

The department said that Pope, a former ambassador to Chad and counter-terrorism director, would continue the work that Stevens had been doing and that his appointment underscored a U.S. commitment to work with Libya as it transitions to NATO/ US democracy

Coming under a barrage of criticism was Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, who said in the days immediately following Stevens’s death that the attacks appeared to be a “spontaneous” protest of an anti-Muslim video, rather than a premeditated terrorist attack. One top House Republican — Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King (R-N.Y.) — is demanding Rice’s resignation.
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) asked Issa to call Rice as a witness at a future hearing.
I’d like to have another hearing where we can ask Ambassador Rice, under oath, ‘Who told you what, when?’” Gowdy said. “… I want to know why we were lied to.

Last week, Issa and Chaffetz released a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, detailing 13 security threats to U.S. diplomatic officials in Libya and how requests for additional security were rejected, according to the lawmakers.

CHE GUEVARA [June 14, 1928 - October 9, 1967]
CHE GUEVARA [June 14, 1928 - October 9, 1967] I admire his courage, strength and refusal to never give up, even when everyone around him lost the courage and patience to see this particular mission to its fruition. A man so inspired by his convictions that he would continue to fight....to fight the enemy of the proxy Western government, and to fight to motivate those around him to defend their country and their dignity.

3 Civilians Killed as GNC pro NATO gangs Attack Bani Walid
(Reuters) - Shelling by Libyan pro-government forces has killed three people including a child in the former Gaddafi stronghold of Bani Walid, a local militia leader said on Tuesday.
=  BANI WALID: Bani Walid under siege, being bombed and under threat of intensified attack
Reuters have just reported that the Libyan city of Bani Walid, which despite reports that it was the last to surrender to the NATO led counterinsurgency against the former Libyan government, in fact never did surrender, is being shelled by pro-"government" forces (I put government in parenthesis because there is in fact no authority that can be called a government in Libya,  but a vast array of militias that control different areas). The news agency reports that the shelling has so far caused three fatalities including the death of a little girl.

It was only after the event of Tawergha being destroyed, that the western corporate media and human rights organisations began to give some tentative coverage to the plight of its people.

But not only was timely or adequate coverage not given, such organisations served to inflame the inherent racism of the Misrata militias by instead giving coverage to the entirely baseless claim that the former Libyan government was hiring mercenaries from sub-Saharan Africa
Libya remains shaky: Fear of more persecution in Bani Walid
The foreign backed military ousting and brutal killing of Colonel Gaddafi was a forerunner to more chaos and the failed state syndrome of Afghanistan, Kosovo (Serbia rejects the independence of Kosovo) and Iraq. It is clear that powerful Western military forces can alter the “leadership landscape” but winning the peace remains very distant.

Libya is now entering a similar pattern whereby decentralization and the abuse of power remains to the fore.
In Kosovo since the ending of the conflict you have had untold killings of Orthodox Christians but how many Kosovo Albanians are in prison for these crimes?

Libya is the same because many Gaddafi loyalists and black Africans were killed after the fall of Gaddafi. It mattered not that fighters either gave themselves up or if they were captured because many were killed either way.
Similarly, many ordinary civilians have been killed on the most flimsy of grounds. Indeed, the brutal massacres inflicted against black Africans were clearly racial because many were singled out and killed based on the color of their skin.
Currently many people in Bani Walid are both angry and scared about what may develop in the following days. It is always likely that a fresh massacre may ensue alongside false charges against individuals who merely demand justice.
Therefore, with the international community already failing many Libyans it is essential that more is done for places like Bani Walid.http://moderntokyotimes.com/2012/10/06/libya-remains-shaky-fear-of-more-persecution-in-bani-walid/

Our revolution has been stolen, say Libya's jihadists
DERNA, Libya (Reuters) - From the mountains of Afghanistan and the streets of Baghdad to the iron cages of Guantanamo Bay, Libyans from Derna have made their small city a big name in global jihad.
Salem Dirbi, a veteran Islamist fighter feb17, thinks his revolution has been hijacked by former Gaddafi loyalists [ traitors] now back in power while those who "sacrificed their blood" to overthrow the dictator have been elbowed aside.

Libya was thrown into further political disarray Sunday, when the country’s newly installed General National Congress sacked Prime Minister Mustafa Abushagur, who has struggled to gain parliamentary approval for a cabinet. His ouster—after less than a month in office.

125 of the 200-member legislature voted to remove him, setting the prospect for weeks of more behind-the-scenes horse-trading and political wrangling while the country is buffeted by rising lawlessness and threatened with religious radicalization.
