Thursday, 26.04 - ‎"Fall of the dictator"... Don't they ever grow tired of this bull*hit?! It's like: "We'll tell you a bit of truth of what's going on, but in order to do so, we have to season it a bit, so it doesn't clash with all the LIES we told you before." NOW they remember the abuse of black people and tortures and lawlessness!

Wednesday, 25.04 - Libya's NTC has banned parties based on tribal, ethnic or religious affiliation from participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections. A new Islamist party seen by many as a leading political force is eager to refute the ban.
On Tuesday, Libya's National Transitional Council passed a law regulating the formation of political parties.

The NTC has already stated that the country will be run in accordance with Sharia, or Islamic law, but its exact place in the legal system is yet to be determined as a new constitution will be put together after elections.
"Parties are not allowed to be based on religion or ethnicity or tribe," NTC spokesman Mohammed al-Harizy told Reuters after the meeting.
A new political party formed in March by Libya's Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists has urged the NTC to clarify the decision.
Before the law was adopted, political analysts had predicted that the party formed by the Muslim Brotherhood would become Libya's most organized political force – and an influential player in the parliamentary elections this June.

Tuesday, 24.04 - Egypt has denied licenses to 8 US-based NGO's, saying they violated the country’s sovereignty.

Not so non-government...
There may be a good reason why national governments in troubled countries mistrust US-funded NGOs. For instance, NATO’s intervention in Libya was partially justified by exaggerated reports of human rights organizations alleging that Muammar Gaddafi’s forces committed crimes against humanity and breached international law in other ways, reports RT’s Maria Portnaya. After the war some of them admitted to giving ungrounded reports.
Powerful NGOs like Human Rights Watch or Amnesty International are supposed to be objective monitors and not take sides, but in reality they “enter into an excessively cozy relationship with for example the United States government, but also other powerful Western allies, over Libya and over other issues,” John Laughland from the Institute of Democracy and Cooperation told RT.
This is what happened in Libya and is now happening in Syria, he added.

“The equivalent, if you like, of the Libyan League of Human Rights, which is called the Damascus Centre for Human Rights, has played exactly the same role. They’ve alleged crimes against humanity. They’ve called for safe havens, and armed intervention in that country. And they are quite clear political lobbyists, who are trying to secure a military intervention against Syria along the lines of the one approved last year against Libya,” Laughland explained. http://rt.com/news/egytp-ngo-ban-us-825/

Tuesday, 24.04 - Two militias clashed in southern Libya
One person was killed and 13 injured in clashes between two Libyan militias in the southernmost desert on Monday, officials said. Violence broke out in the city of al Kufra late last week. Libya's Shield fighters reportedly attacked Tibu neighborhoods with rockets, Reuters said. In February, armed forces were sent to Kufra, 1,100 km south of Tripoli, to stop fighting between the Tibu and another tribe in the area. http://rt.com/news/line/2012-04-23/#id29974

Tuesday, 24.04 - NATO's Slow Genocide in Libya: Syria is Next

What the world has to look forward to if NATO and the UN gets its way in Syria.
April 19, 2012 - While Qatari government propaganda outlet Al Jazeera is busy whitewashing the NATO-led terrorist take-over of Libya with "documentaries" like "Gaddafi: The Endgame - State of Denial," depicting the evisceration of one of Africa's most developed nation-states as a pro-democracy revolution yielding a promising tomorrow - Libya in reality has been plunged into perpetual violence, destabilization, and division. And as militants battle each other while carving the once unified Libya into a myriad of fiefdoms, genocidal death squads continue a campaign of extermination nationwide.

One group of Libyans hit hardest are the people of Tawargha - who were either exterminated or exiled from their city of 10,000-30,000 during the NATO-led destruction of Libya last year. Since then, their refugee camps have been raided, and survivors who have not yet fled Libya are being systematically imprisoned, tortured, and murdered.

Now, the very network of corporate-funded and directed NGOs charged with "human rights advocacy," who assisted the Libyan rebels in willfully lying to the world over violations of "human rights" in the lead up to NATO's military intervention, are finally reporting the widespread atrocities being carried out by the rebels themselves. In fact, organizations like Human Rights Watch (HRW) and Amnesty International, both funded by convicted criminal and Wall Street speculator, George Soros, began reporting such atrocities back in 2011, but only long after NATO bombs were already falling on Libya and the process of "regime change" was already irreversible. And, at critical junctures, such as the sieges of Bani Walid and Sirte, where NATO itself was committing systematic war crimes by air in tandem with terrorist forces on the ground - organizations like HRW and Amnesty International were altogether mute.
